Skin Tightening Foods

Eating healthy is part of a great diet and healthy lifestyle, but did you know that there are many foods that you can eat that will help to tighten your skin? Most of these foods are fruits and vegetables that are filled with antioxidants too. So, take notes and learn more about skin tightening foods.

 Nuts and Seeds

Walnuts have been shown to help to tighten our skin. They are a great source of fatty acids, which is something that our bodies need. These fatty acids help to reduce inflammation in our skin, which helps to make your skin look more firm and not saggy. Walnuts are also a great choice because they are filled with antioxidants such as vitamin C and E.

Sunflower seeds are another food that you should eat more of. Sunflower seeds are another great source of vitamin E and antioxidants. These vitamins and antioxidants are part of how our skin heals itself and fights off free radicals that cause fine lines and wrinkles.

 Sweet Potatoes and Dark Chocolate

These two usually don't go hand in hand, but here, they do! Sweet potatoes give us a lot of nutrients that are great for making our skin look and feel healthy.  Sweet potatoes are a very big source of beta carotene. This can help your skin keep a glowing look. Beta carotene acts as a natural way to block the sun and keeps your skin from becoming harmed by the UV rays of the sun. If you eat more foods that contain beta carotene, your skin will also change in color. The more you eat, the brighter and more tan your skin will look.

Who doesn't love chocolate? What if it could help you look younger? It can! Dark chocolate contains antioxidants that can help your skin fight off free radicals that are causing fine lines and wrinkles. It can also help to hydrate your skin. The dark chocolate that is over 70% cocoa is the best ones for reaping the benefits of chocolate!

We all love food, but if you aren't eating these foods, it's time to start! For more tips on how to look young again, check out all of our blogs!
